SCA Capture Conservation Photo Contest Summer 2016
What does conservation mean to you? What inspires you to visit the parks, forests, and refuges where nature is allowed to thrive? What inspires you to celebrate them? What inspires you to fight to keep them wild and untrammeled always and forever?
Whether it's the look on a loved one's face when they crest the hill and take in the view, or the breathtaking view itself, share it. Whether it's a wild animal in its natural habitat or your family dog enjoying some time on the trail, share it to inspire outdoor fun, to inspire conservation action, and to maybe win prizes like a round-trip flight for two or a National Parks Annual Pass.
In celebration of the National Park Service’s Centennial year (and looking forward to its next 100 years!) this summer’s Capture Conservation themes are #Next100SCA and #LightTheLand.
#Next100SCA
Use this tag for photos taken at National Parks and other NPS sites. Our goal is to amass a collection of national park photos so huge and beautiful and moving that it helps us inspire a new generation of conservationists to help the National Park Service preserve our priceless public lands for all to enjoy for another 100 years!
All photos tagged thusly will be eligible for the Next 100 prize—a Public Lands Annual Pass granting access to all U.S. public lands, including national parks, free of charge—as well as the grand prize, people’s choice prize, and runner up prizes.
You can also use this tag on Instagram for a chance to win the Instagram Mini-Contest Prize.
#LightTheLand
Use this to tag photos that light the land with your unique perspective on why we must preserve Earth’s natural spaces for the good of the planet, for the good of wildlife, and for the good of humanity.
DEADLINE for entry is 2:59 PM EDT, Friday, October 28th, 2016!
