The California Condor has been endangered for years, having places that legally guard these magnificent creatures is essential. Thanks to the Grand Canyon National Park and conservation biologist the population stands a greater chance at survival than ever before. California condors are victims to lead poisoning due to their scavenging nature and can undergo lead chelation therapy to reduce the concentration of lead in their blood. While hiking the Plateau Point trail, I was fortunate enough to witness two California condors in the wild!
